Valentine's Day'Butterflies on
Roses' Scribbles
Carrying forward my 'Red & Gold' color scheme for Valentine's Day
was this adorable arrangement of paper butterflies scribbled with
love notes fluttering over red and gold satin roses.

Supplies Needed:
- Satin Ribbon in Red and Gold
- Golden paper cutouts of butterflies (template given below)
- Wide golden ribbon (I used wire-edged)
- Drinking Straws or Florist Wires
Directions:
1. Make satin ribbon roses using these directions:
How To Make Ribbon Roses
The number of roses depends upon how large you want your bouquet
to be.
Note: The wider the ribbon, the larger your roses will turn
out. The longer the ribbon, the denser your roses will be.
2. If you want to arrange your flowers in a vase, twist the
ribbons at their bases to drinking straws and tape them. You can
also use florist wires.
3.
Cut out butterflies from golden paper using this template above.
4. Fold them from the center, crease and then re-open. Write
little love notes/quotes inside.
5. Glue the creased center of the butterflies on to some of the
flowers.
6. When arranging them in a vase, use wide golden ribbon around
their bases stuffing half of it inside the neck of the vase to give
them a hand-tied posy look.
7. For displaying them in a transparent glass vase, roll a sheet
of craft paper of desired color and insert it in the vase. You can
stick to red or golden or add a different touch with an unusual
color like pink. Place the roses inside the 'tube' of craft paper
and add ribbon at the neck of the vase.
